The San Francisco Giants 2023 season has been confusing to say the least. For those who don’t know they are in a highly competitive National League West wild card playoff race to close out the season. The NL West wild card race has been very entertaining especially before the Giants blew it this past weekend in Colorado against one of the worst teams in the league who have the chance to lose 100 games this season. The Giants are in a pennant race with the Chicago Cubs, Miami Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cincinnati Reds, and Philadelphia Phillies who seem like they will grab the number one wild card seed. So that leaves two spots left for the 5 remaining teams I mentioned. Those five teams are all within a half to 3 games back! The top seed will get to chill for a minute + have home field advantage. While the other two teams will battle it out in a one game loser goes home playoff hosted at whoever has best head-to-head record. Here are the standings from ESPN.com

The Giants are currently in the desert facing off against the D-backs in a crucial two game series that will most certainly help determine their playoff fate. They lost last night after their starting pitcher Alex Cobb came out of the game in the third due to his ongoing hip issue. So, they have to bounce back today. Thankfully their ace, Logan Webb on the mound. It’s a 12:40 day game. This is it! They have got to figure it out because they are off to LA after for a four-game series against Dodgers. Yikes! Hoping since the Dodgers already won the division they will not have as much to play for, but it is still Giants vs. Dodgers and both teams always come to play. They actually have to play the Dodgers 7 more times and only have 11 games left. Who the hell makes these schedules?! Seems like barely played them all year. We all know I used to work for the Diamondbacks, right? Haha It is my fun fact. It was mostly a great time! Plus, our friend plays with them now, so I will be rooting for them if the Giants blow it.
We actually went to a Giants game a couple weeks ago for an early birthday present for Conor. We had the best time! I cannot believe how different the right field skyline looks. Those new buildings have such a futuristic look to them. What a cool area to live in with the Warriors right there too. We saw back-to-back-to-back homeruns by the Giants, and they went on to win! After the game there was an E-40 drone show that was amazing. I was blown away. The music, unexpected drone formations and vibes were all 100. Here are a couple pictures from the game. I’d share some drone footage, but it’s mostly me freaking out about it and rapping so I’ll spare you 😉

I planned to make this blog entry longer, but life. So, please stay tuned for my thoughts on the Giants skipper soon.
Let’s go Giants! I want more Giants October magic, especially for Crawford.
